This is an invitation to share the long cooking over fire of a vegan coconut Sancocho (Sancocho de piedra), a variation of a traditional soup of the pacific coast of Colombia and my city of Cali. Come have a heartwarming bowl of soup, play parqués (also called parcheesi in other cultures, handmade for the occasion), listen and dance to salsa, chat and meet others, or hear stories about salsa and politics in Cali back in the 70s.
My name is Yris, I am a queer colombian transdisciplinary artist and writer with many years working in gastro. Currently developing my project "Bocanada" gathering flavours and stories in shape of food or cocktails.
