During several residencies at Les Complices* 2016 the artist Deneth Piumakshi Wedaarachchige was researching the connection between Sri Lanka and Switzerland. She focussed on migrants* and collectives from Sri Lanka with artistic or activist background. With an installation that honors the five senses, the artist tells of cultural confusions, fights and of survival and living together. In addition to the exhibition an open roundtable-discussion will take place; different involved people will discuss the history of migration from Sri Lanka to Switzerland and in collaboration with the Maxim Theater a performance of Patrick Balaraj Yogarajan will take place.
