Our first Read the Room session with Huguette Tolinga and friends will create and present musical collaborative works with musicians from Zürich.
Read the Room (RTR) is a play on words with raum and realm, meaning to enter any space, one must gather their surroundings, their environment and awareness of others around them. Read the room is a way to translate what you hear around the space, what you observe, and listen to the space.
RTR is a series that engages with art practitioners, musicians, sound artists who engage in a listening practice. It would include a 3-day working production for the artist to provide an inside creative process, forging a unique approach in how to Read the Room. This will take place at Les Complices* in the center heart of Zürich, Kreis 3. This engagement encourages a deepening appreciation for the nuances of each musical piece, contributing to a more meaningful and transformative listening experience.
