In all the ways that it is allied with death, anger, the beauty of darkness, and the excellent void, I write often - but never directly - about love. Never directly! Until now, explicit love has not found its way into my solo work, and I am unsure of the reason. Am I...shy? Embarrassed? Do I feel unqualified to speak on love?
With this performance, I begin the process of introducing Love into my practice by name. This work is the first sentence of an eager and clumsy conversation between myself, my body, my story, and my mother, about LOVE.
