The Third Cinema Club (formerly Film/Book Club) is a series of screenings and collective readings by Les Complices* that reimagines the radical legacy of “the third”—drawing from Third Cinema, Third Place theory, and Third Worldism. Conceived as a feminist and diasporic space of study, witnessing, and imagination, the series invites the audience to watch and read together, creating moments of shared reflection and conversation that move fluidly between film and text. By bringing people together outside both institutional and domestic settings, The Third Cinema Club cultivates practices of solidarity, critical thought, and collective world-making.
